An ATK Buff, also known as Tarukaja, increases the target team's attack by 20%.
An ATK Buff+, also known as Tarukaja+, is similar to regular ATK Buff, but it instead increases the team's attack by 25%.

Mechanics
In a nutshell, damage is first calculated using the attacker's PATK or MATK stat, minus half of the enemy's PDEF or MDEF stat. This is then multiplied by the sum of ATK Buffs, ATK Debuffs, DEF Buffs, and DEF Debuffs. After that, the skill power, damage boosts, damage reductions, resistances, etc are applied to calculate the final damage. For more information, see the Damage Formula.
Buff state
A party's buff state essentially has 5 levels:

Incrementing/decrementing state
- Receiving an
ATK Buff+ will increase the state by 2 levels.
- Receiving a regular
ATK Buff will increase the state by 1 level, but cannot increase the state into the
ATK Buff+ level.
- Receiving a regular
ATK Debuff will decrease the state by 1 level, but cannot decrease the state into the
ATK Debuff+ level.
- Receiving an
ATK Debuff+ will decrease the state by 2 levels.
Interaction with itself
Buffs of the same type cannot stack (example: two regular ATK Buff do not stack) - the number shown in-game is the buff's remaining turn duration.
- If the same buff is cast while it's already active, the new buff will replace the old one only if it would make the duration longer.
Interaction between normal and plus buffs
If a regular ATK Buff is active, and then an
ATK Buff+ is received (or vice versa), then the new buff will overwrite the old buff, regardless of the remaining duration on either effect.
Duration Ticks
The turn duration for Buffs and Debuffs will tick down at the start of a turn belonging to the team that originally cast it.
- For example, if your team set up an
ATK Buff on itself, then the Buff's duration will tick down at the start of your next turn.
