Preferential Target

From SMT: Dx2 Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

When a demon is a Preferential Target, applicable effects will automatically target that demon instead of their allies.

Mechanics

Preferential Targeting will apply both to skills that deal damage, and to skills that do not.

Single-Target preference

Preferential Targeting for single-target skills includes the following:

  • Skills that target a single enemy.
  • Skills that target a single enemy with the highest or lowest of a given stat.

If the Preferential Target effect for Single-Target activates for multiple demons at once, then the leftmost demon will take priority.

Random-Target preference

If the Preferential Target effect for Random-Targets activates for multiple demons at once, then each demon will take 1 hit of the incoming attacks.

Activation Exclusions

Preferential Targeting will not activate in the following scenarios:

  • When a Icon Charm.png Charmed enemy activates a skill other than a Chain Effect.
  • When an enemy activates a skill that targets another demon in their own party.
  • When an enemy uses the Standard Attack (unles the standard attack has been changed).
