Fractional Damage is a special type of damage that uses a percentage of the target's current or max HP.
Mechanics
Fractional Damage has no attribute (element), and cannot be increased or reduced through buffs, debuffs, or damage increase/reduction effects.
However, Fractional Damage is reduced by:
- Enemy shields in Alter-World maps that use the Overbreak system.
- The damage reduction applied to the main character in the Battle Tower while their demons are alive.
If the target has a Bulwark, then the Bulwark will absorb as much of the damage as it can before the target's HP takes damage. The HP of the Bulwark is not considered when Fractional Damage is calculated - only the target's real HP is considered.
If the target is affected by Fortify or Decay, which increase or decrease the target's max HP, then Fractional Damage will consider the post-increase/decrease max HP.
