Icon Repel Magic.png Repel Magic (sometimes called "Makarakarn") is a Good Status Effect that repels an incoming magic attack one time.

Mechanics

If a demon is affected by Icon Repel Magic.png Repel Magic, the next magic hit (excluding Almighty Almighty magic) they receive will be repelled back at the attacker.

Note that this shield only applies for one hit - after that, the effect will be removed.

  • If a multiple-hit attack is used, only the first hit is repelled.

Repel Magic cannot stop piercing effects, nor will piercing effects cause the effect to be removed.

Repel Almighty Magic

Icon Repel Almighty Magic.png Repel Almighty Magic is a variant that acts the same as Repel Magic, but can also block Almighty Almighty magic.

Chain effects and additional effects that apply to Repel Magic, will also apply to Repel Almighty Magic.

Duration Ticks

The turn duration for this effect will tick down at the start of a turn belonging to the team that originally cast it.

  • For example, if your team set up Repel Magic on itself, then Repel Magic's duration will tick down at the start of your next turn.

Misc

  • Repel Magic cannot be active at the same time as Icon Repel Physical.png Repel Physical (or Icon Repel Almighty Physical.png Repel Almighty Physical). Only the most-recently-cast effect will be kept.
  • Repel Magic is considered a "Good Status Effect", thus it is susceptible to removal by skills such as Silent Prayer.
  • The skill Pralaya must hit in order to apply its effect of removing Repel Magic. Due to this, it can remove Icon Repel Magic.png Repel Magic (since it does not block Almighty), but cannot remove Icon Repel Almighty Magic.png Repel Almighty Magic (which does block Almighty).
