Explanation
- At the start of the player turn, Black Maria applies a 5% Bulwark to herself, and Odin applies an 8% Bulwark to the entire enemy team.
- If Black Maria still has a Bulwark when your turn ends, she will hit your party with 50% Fractional Damage based on current HP. After that, she will remove
Revive Ban from her entire team and revive them at full health.
- For every turn she is alive, the fractional damage will ramp up to use max HP instead, increase from 50% to 75%, and increase its damage cap to 5,000 and then 10,000 HP.
- Black Maria's attacks are
Almighty-based. Deathtouch heals her, while Sea of Chaos applies a 3-turn
DEF Debuff to your party.
- The left Berserker can sometimes apply
Mute with
Dark Sword.
- Hellbound: Almighty will apply 5 stacks of
Spirit Chains of Suppression to you.
- If you fail to kill the adds by the start of their second turn, they will hit you with a bulwark-piercing, 100%-crit enrage AoE. Black Maria will do one too, if she isn't dead by her third turn.
General strategy
- You must break or remove Black Maria's Bulwark each turn, to avoid her revenge fractional hit and revives. The Bulwark is 13% of her max HP (5% from herself + 8% from Odin).
Scathach with the skill
Scathach (Underside) will automatically remove the enemies' Bulwarks the first time you use a
Force attack, but only once per battle.
- If you intend to break the Bulwark manually, then you must use attacks that do NOT pierce Bulwarks. Demons with Bulwark-piercing innate skills can consider transferring attacks that don't pierce, such as
Zandyne or
Wind Slash.
- Once the Bulwark is down, kill Maria ASAP.
Underside skill demons
Scathach
Scathach (Underside) effect overview
- Self gets 50% HP, 180% Force damage, 20% accuracy, 3 MP discount for Force skills, and immunity to
Spirit Chains of Suppression.
- The team gets 40% Force damage and 40% accuracy.
- If any team member uses a Force skill, Scathach removes all of the enemy team's Bulwarks (once per battle).
- Colors
Clear for the fusibles ruleset. The other colors don't offer anything useful for a Force build.

- Due to her MP discount, Divine's MP regen is probably not necessary.
- Misc notes
- The Bulwark removal effect only works once per battle, meaning you can't rely on it in turn 2 onwards.
- Warning: Force chain effects with the "start of battle" or "start of your turn" timing (see turn order) will activate before the enemy Bulwarks are up, causing Scathach's Bulwark removal effect to be wasted. This causes anti-synergy with
Harpy.

Concentrate (2.25x damage) on his first action - this is about 63% damage on average across his 2 actions on the first turn. Also gets 50% HP and immunity to
Spirit Chains of Suppression.

- Jack Frost does not have any MP discounts, so 7 MP skills such as
Killing Wind may be too expensive to cast repeatedly.
Killing Wind (Underside) starts at 7 MP, then becomes 6 MP at max level. This is the best skill he can use, but the cost of maxing it is very high.

Cu Chulainn A's
Barbed Spear pierces Bulwarks, which is unfortunate, as it cannot help break Maria's Bulwark. However, he still deals good damage to push for a kill.
- Transferring
Wind Slash is an option, since it does not pierce Bulwarks.
- His color does not really matter.
Cu Chulainn: 190 magic, P1 has 20% damage, P3 has 20% damage, P4 has 25% damage.
Mazandyne (120 power AoE).
Tsukuyomi is weak to
Phys, so he has Resist Phys transferred to cover it.
- Damage-wise, he prefers using max-level
Zanma plus a damage booster, over using
Zandyne with no damage booster. Zanma can be leveled cheaply using 3★ fodder.
- His color does not really matter, unless you specifically need more HP from Purple.

Gale Talon is 160-400 power random-target, but pierces bulwarks.
Schierke: 190 magic, 15% damage from p1, 15% damage from p4, 20% team damage aura from p3. 120-power Force AoE. If panel 2, applies
ATK Buff on the 1st turn.
Harpy: 160 magic, 20% damage boost, p3 has 30% damage. 20% team damage aura on p2.

Wind Trick (100 power AoE, +2 MP restored to party, pierces bulwarks).
- Warning: Harpy's start-of-battle chain has anti-synergy with Scathach's underside effect.
