Revision as of 07:52, 18 December 2020
Overview
- The hardest Celestial - can only be fought if you have beaten the other four.
- 200k HP makes it a long fight.
- Drain/Repelling his attacks through Ata/Alilat/Rama gains him press turns.
- ~35000 Battle Speed.
- Cycles through Elements, after 4 turns he does Almighty Mortal Spam
- There was a recent nerf on Celestial Kohryu as of early December 2020. Scroll Through the Bottom to keep in mind about it.
Skills
General Tactic
- Kill him asap, as its not likely to win a prolonged fight without the means of Drain Pierce or Repel Pierce, also its hard to outrevive him.
- In his turns he always goes his current rotation (In the current clear...further testing is needed!)
- That means Fire ST T1, Elec Random Hits T2, etc etc. See his skill.
- The Quick Kill Strat therefore goes to try to kill him on turn 2 or 3 at latest.
- Alternatively, If you have Lakshmi A and Orcus, you can use the Infinite Heal Strat to outheal and outlive him.
Teams Proven to Work
Quick Kill Strat
Maaster
- This team fully banks on Maras Damage. Gongen has full Crit% with Patk% sprinkled in.
- With Divines you can use Hell Thrust four times.
- Boxer is used for his position hack, so we go first.
- This Team is for debuffing, see Tactic on next paragraph. Important part is just surviving HLs turn and then debuffing his defense. I used Orcus' War Cry for this. Feel free to use any team you want.
Tactic:
- For this to work, there a several key pieces that need to fit together. The perfect run would be like this:
- Boxers Position Hack procs
- Gongens God's Hand crits, giving everyone crit.
- You use Maras Hell Thrust four times, while the Jacks only use Tag and Gongen alternates between Basic Attack and God's Hand.
- On HLs turn, he will not kill any of your demons.
- There is a bit of RNG involved, but if you use Endure on Gongen and pure Life on the Jacks, it is pretty likely.
- You repeat your first turn, stopping at the last half press turn (on Mara), then swap your teams.
- This makes it HLs turn again, which he will spend spamming his Elec Random Hit move.
- You need to survive this and debuff his defense, so his Auto Luster will only get him to neutral.
- Once your second team dies (You cannot switch back manually), you repeat your first turn, giving you the win.
Reika
- Phys Berserk was at 85. Modified from Maaster's team.
- Reset until Kangaroo's Position Hack Triggers.
- On the first Press Turn, fire off a Hell Thrust. Reset if this does not crit.
- On the half turn, cast Offensive Cry with Pyro Jack.
- On the second Press Turn, fire off a God's Hand. Reset if this does not crit.
- For the rest of the turn, continue spamming Hell Thrust and Tag. Gongen alternates between Basic Attack and God's Hand.
- Pray to RNGesus HL doesn't nuke Mara twice. Endure on everyone else means they can all take two hits.
- Repeat the First Turn, stopping at the last half press turn (on Mara), then swap your teams.
- This team is just here to throw out some additional damage and debuff HL, so Auto-Luster only brings him back to Neutral on your next turn.
- Xana will occasionally deal 1k chip damage to HL at the end of your turn.
- Leads allow Asherah to immediately give Yoshitsune a turn if he dies through Mother's Creation.
- Yoshitsune acts as secondary DPS. Just throw as many Hassou Tobi at HL as possible.
- Acid Breath is used to debuff both his defense and evasion. You can have this on either Heca or Orcus.
- Dmg Panel Immunity was transferred as I was getting sick of the Poison tile damage from reloading lol.
- Once your second team dies (You cannot switch back manually), you repeat your first turn, giving you the win.
Evade Strat
Dr. Satan
- Turn Order: Vairocana > Neko Alt > Seth > Orcus
- 1st team is Ash, Orcus, Clear Heca, AbaA. Survive til 5th form of Dragons Flare.
- Feel free to use any other team, it just needs to survive till 5th turn.
- Seth EoC can be replaced by Savage Glee. Aim for at least 1.9k HP on him.
- Vairo will always put neutral buffs, so no need for debuffs on units.
- Typical Turn:
- Vairo Pass unless Healing needed
- NekoA Lydia if someone was hit hard on team, else Nocturne
- Seth Crit Pass to Heca
- Heca uses Tetraja. If its up already, Lydia.
Aly
- Phys Berserk was at 61. Inspired by Dr.Satan's strat.
- Turn Order: Neko A - Amaterasu - Seth - Heca
- First team need to stall past the 4th turn. Mine was Orcus, Asherah, Heca, Abaddon A.
- CHL will keep his luster candy buff up while we keep our buff up with maxed Tenson Kourin, giving a debuff skill to a party member will be a lot harder to maintain. That's why I need more total Evade than Dr. Satan's.
- Neko A will prioritize Lydia in this order: Ama, Neko A, Seth, Heca.
- Sometimes it's necessary for Neko A to skip turns in case Ama needs mp such as when CHL starts spamming Dragon Cometh.
- Ama will spam Tenson Kourin when party get debuffed by golden rebirth. Prioritize Buff than Healing.
- At Panel 3, Seth's Ouas will be discounted to 3MP with Xana as Dx2. Even with his Ouas 50% crit chance, it doesn't mean it'll crit all the time so you need to add more crit rate using Savage Glee or Epitome of Carnage because I lack both of those I sacrifice Damage for more crit rate via brands. Even with 2000 HP, getting critted by Dragon flare twice means death to Seth so I use Wild Instinct, you can use Epitome of Fortitude or Life brand for more survivability.
- Heca is Tetraja bot. Purple has Life Surge, He needs Tons of HP so when he got hit by Dragon Flare you don't have to worry about him.
Infinite Heal Strat
MilkMan
- Phys Berserk was at 60. Can be lower if Gog has more DEF
- Turn order should be: LakA/Barong/Orcus/Gog. All require 2k+ Hp to survive consistently.
- Team 1 should be a bunch of non-specific tanky demons, able to survive at least 4-5 turns of the boss's attacks.
- Archetypes on Lakshmi/Barong/Orcus do not matter, as none help within this fight. Gogmagog requires either Red for Muscle Punch, or Yellow for charge.
- If using a yellow Gogmagog, transfer Muscle Punch from Titan.
- No panels are required on anybody BUT Gogmagog. His Panel 2 reduces the boss damage by 15%, making survival easier. His Panel 3 reduces the boss's crit rate by 30%, making him unable to crit entirely. Also, with p3, Wild Instinct or a similar skill is not necessary. Get these panels if you are struggling to beat him, and it will go much more smoothly.
- Starting off the fight is where the hardest RNG lies, as you need to survive long enough to fully boost Lakshmi's heal before you can be safe. Begin with a turn of Pass -> Barong Dance -> Acid breath -> Pass -> Virtuous prosperity -> Pass -> Acid breath. This gives you the EV/AC advantage, letting you more easily evade the Boss's attacks. Do not attack until 1st: Virtuous is proccing 5e, and 2nd: all buffs/debuffs are present.
- Rules for this battle: Always make sure you can heal everybody up to roughly 2k hp. If you cannot, do a heal turn. Virtuous -> Barong dance -> Acid Breath -> Pass -> Virtuous. Only Attack or Charge when you can ensure 2k+ HP on all party members on the turn that you attack. This is a slow-and-steady method, expect to play for about 30 minutes.
- You may also get debilitated twice in one turn, and if that happens, follow this turn order: Pass -> Barong Dance -> Acid Breath -> Pass -> Virtuous -> Barong Dance
- Generally, play it safe at all times, and you should be successful with this strategy. Use Acid Breath -EVERY- turn to keep the boss's DEF and EV/AC neutral, and use Virtuous -EVERY- turn, at least once. It took me 2 tries, and I could've made it easier with more improvement or better brands.
Notes made by Sirin/Luma [This will apply to all future fights as of Early December 2020 and any future dates who plan to fight Celestial Huang Long]
- Used the same team as Milkman's, that being the Lak A team. However, recently Celestial Huang Long received a nerf, his Dragon Cometh received is now reflectable by Lak A's Virtuous Prosperity as of Early December 2020 iirc. Thus: 2 things come from it:
1: Your RNG Dependence is now less overall in some cases since the enemy ai [Huang Long's] won't spam it as much as a last-ditch heal. Thus, it should arguably make the fight much more easier than compared to before. [Rip the "struggling part" lmao]
2: Your Phys Berserk LVL can be as low as 35, or possibly even lower. This was my phys berserk lvl at the time when I beated him. [Gog did have nearly 2k phys defense though so keep that in mind. (Around 4k or so with charge muscle punch no Rakunda + Luster Candy effect from Barong Dance for comparison)
[The things at the bottom don't have to be read, but moreso just an explanation of how the nerf affects him, and a few changes i made/noted to the Lak A team]
- Sidenotes: You don't necessarily have to make a tanky team for t1, you could very well easily make a dps team to make it faster to kill Huang Long. Just make sure however that if you are going this path, lak a and barong has enough hp to outlive it, with both tarunda and rakuka up or something similar. For my case, my hp was above 2200 for lak a and barong, since his Force Dragon Flare Version will deal the most amount of dmg as of that point if you set up yourself correctly for his almighty phys dragon flare. His Dragon Flare Wind should be about 650ish-700, but less than 800 if your demons have life. Other things to note includes:
- T1 Team if you are going for a suicide quick dmg dps team should either be Ririn w multihit skillsthat are "random" like Garuda A or Yoshitsune, Templar with some concentrate/charge strat, or Black Carbon with Crits in my case. (You Can switch up who to use, but mine waas P3 Yoshi, Regulat Garuda for Speed and for Auto-Rakunda, Hell Biker for Evasion Buffs and Red Zone, and Kali P0. This is mostly just to speed up the process.)
- Dragon Cometh nerf notes for Huang Long [Going to call Huang Long = Kohryu just because its easier]. One of his more deadly combos would look something like this: Rebirth 1, Rebirth 1, Rebirth 1, Rebirth 2-4, Dragon Flare Spam and All of It Crits and Lands, killing your party at that same turn, or if the AI repeats it a similar process. This would be since the rebirths can regenerate press turns and inflict a debilitate if no reflect enabled. However, because Cometh gets rid of all the press turns, this doesn't let him farm more press turns similar to that of another demon [cough Mot cough] The importance of his deadliness requires enough press turns in order to nearly or 100% kill you, but if Kohryu uses Cometh instead, he ruins any possible chance of enough press turns. [1 Translate to Demon 1, let's say Lak A, spams it 3 times in a row, than just kills the rest via flare]
- Other Weakness, Previous Battlers would have noted that Kohryu would heal with said cometh. However, there is a catch with it being reflectable now. The self-heal WILL NOT WORK if there still remains a single almighty repel. Example: Rebirth 1 -Rebirth 2 - Rebirth 4 - Cometh = No Heal during that specifc cometh. Of Course, he could just respam it again, but note in ai is that it won't always repeat the same thing twice since its less likely to overall from possibly smart ai or something idk. Point is that the heal will not work during the first cometh if at all. IIRC, the mp drain still works on any demon with no reflect, but don't quote me on this. Someone else can make a note on it.
- Moveset Changes: Even though I used the same team that Milkman had, I made some changes that are a bit more significant. These would mainly be Rakunda on Barong while Orcus has Fog Breath. This is mainly because if you wanna focus on survival or just getting a smidge of unlucky, you would rather live instead of get your plans be messed up. Milk's is more likely efficient however so pick your poison really.
Whichever team you may use, use it to your best judgement and may the Gacha Gods be in your favor.
PS: There are a few alternative teams that the wiki may or may not have made yet have included if you can think outside the box. I'll give you a hint on one of the demons can be used in a specific team, revives and curses. [This requires gachaing*]
