Yellow Yellow Purple S S S S
Pros
  • With an incredible 295 Agility stat and the biggest boost to Battle Speed, Hayataro becomes a staple of T1 teams while providing not just speed but good damage and supportive effects.
  • Kozenji's Spirit Dog gives Hayataro Phys/Elec Pierce, a 75% boost to his own Battle Speed, reduces incoming counts of Spirit Chains of Intimidation/Indignation by 2, and does not consume Press Turns when attacking (up to twice per turn).
    • With P3 and if Purple, this leads to a mold-breaking 115% boost to his Battle Speed, which can be increased even further with the proper skill transfers.
    • As he removes 2 counts of Indignation, this makes him a perfect counter to Asura Lord M, who has proven to be an overly oppressive threat in the current meta.
  • While all party members have at least one count of Fortify, they will become immune to all status ailments—a similar effect to Apsu's The First Drop. Hayataro will provide this benefit, as all party members will start the battle with 1 count of Fortify.
  • At the start of battle, Hayataro will restore 2 MP to his party, then proceeds to apply 1 count of Decay with a 80% chance of inflicting Bind/Charm on all enemies. The Decay is important against a mirror-match as it will remove their ailment negation and proceed to Bind the enemy Hayataro.
  • Introduces Order Crest Tandem Effects, which activate when Hayataro's active skill, Earth-Shaking Roar is used. One crest is inscribed when it becomes a party member's turn to act, capping at two. When Hayataro uses his active, Order Crest: Loyalty will activate however many times Hayataro has crests. It will inflict a 140BP Elec-Physical attack on an enemy while applying 2 counts of Decay on them. With both crests, it results in a 280BP attack with 4 counts of Decay on one enemy, allowing for easier killing if they are incredibly bulky.
  • His active is a 140BP Phys or Elec-Physical attack with a 100% Critical rate on one enemy that follows up with another 140BP hit and a 30% HP heal for the party. This attack ignores Endures, which is very rarely seen for newly released units, and amazing for dealing with non-Danu teams.
    • As his Order Crest fires off upon activating this skill, it amasses into a whopping 560BP attack!
    • His heal makes him the perfect companion to Raidou, as he can keep his insane damage boost and damage reduction active as he will heal him back to full after a cast of his Summon: Yoshitsune.
  • Useful awakenings in both Yellow in Purple: Yellow has Demon Slayer's Knowledge, which provides a 30% boost to his hit rate (accumulating to a 45% boost with his innate Hit Survivor), a 50% boost to his Critical rate, and decreases the Phys and Elec Affinities of all enemies by 2 levels at the start of battle. Purple has Phys-Elec Accele which provides a 15% damage boost to his Phys and Elec damage and a 20% boost to his Battle Speed.
  • Panel 1 further boosts his Phys/Elec damage by 15% and reduces the cost of his active by 1 MP, and Panel 3 further boosts his damage and hit rate by 20%. The highlight is in P2, as it increases his hit rate by 15% and offers 20% reverse damage reduction for Phys and Elec damage.
Cons
  • Weak to Force unless Teal.
  • Only his active ignores endures, the Order Crest damage does not.
  • Only has 100% Critical rate on his active, which means that other skills such as Cleaving Aura in Red and his Normal attack might not crit.
  • Has no way to reapply Fortify to keep the ailment negation active if a party member receives a count of Decay.
Notes
  • To protect yourself against a mirror-match, have another party member who also provides Fortify.
