*Guardian of the East provides 1 extra Press Turn when his team goes first. Press Turn generation is very strong.

*When going first, Guardian of the East provides 1 extra Press Turn, gives the team 2 MP, and a one-turn Tarukaja and Sukukaja.Additionally, at the start of the first turn, a two-turn Tetraja effect.
*Kuyo Flash can be cast 1st PVP turn and inflict a perfectly insane set of buffs and debuffs for offensive purposes.
+
*Kuyo Flash does a 160BP Almighty AoE scaling on PATK that does a full Luster Candy and Debilitate swing for one turn.
*It can also inflicts decent damages due to very high STR stat.
+
*His panels offer great Democalypse Prelim support, with him granting up to 35% party damage to AoE attacks while under Tetraja.
*Panel 2 gives a decent teamwide defensive ability: null Mortal.
+
*P3 reduces his AoE MP cost by 1 and grants his team another Tarukaja and Sukukaja effect along with 2 more MP the first time a teammate downs a demon each turn, and P4 gives him an improved Great Idea, granting him 30 to each stat and 30% battle speed.
*Ultimate Demon for a PVP Defense Team targetting people who Random Battle: the Hero Masakado T1 Defense Teams.

*Hero Masakado T1 Teams are easily beaten in targetted battles.
+
*Most of his effects only activate if going first. This could be hard to achieve as he has terrible Agility and no innate Battle Speed boosts. This means he will ultimately end up bringing a team’s Battle Speed down.
**This is a big issue in the last hour of each PVP season as people tend to favor targetted battles.
+
*No good physical attacks to exploit his innate Phys Pierce. Only Phys attack available to him is Myriad Arrows in Red, which has random targeting and is thus not at all reliable.
*A lot less powerful if his team is outsped.
+
*Easily countered by outspeeding, as he has no T2 benefits.
*Unable to be paired with Masakado.
+
*Kuyo Flash would almost be better if it didn't do damage, as it doesn't hit hard enough to pierce through damage reduction and Fortify, has no remnants, and is easily countered by Five Elements.
 +
*None of his Awaken skills are particularly useful for him. Enduring Soul won't be that useful considering that he's built for a fast team where the only thing that matters is high offensive power and high accuracy for physical attackers. Myriad Arrows could be useful to take advantage of his innate Pierce, but as just said, it isn't a good Phys skill.

Support Skills:
 +
* Speedster/Epitome of Swiftness: Boosts team speed. A must have in Herokado T1 as you want to be as fast as possible to activate Guardian of the East.
 +
* Auto-Taruka/Rakunda/Sukuka/Sukunda: Helps to offset any enemy auto buffs/debuffs to ensure Kuyo Flash gives you all, if not, most of the offensive buffs and debuffs.
 +
* Solar Prosperity/Solar Downfall: Similar to the Auto skills but its 2 in 1 (Team ATK + EV/AC buff in Prosperity, Enemy DEF + EV/AC debuff in Downfall), however, they are much harder to obtain.
 +
 +
Attacks:
 +
* Herculean Strike L: Cheap Phys AoE great for cleaning up any remaining enemies with endures.
 +
* Vorpal Blade: A stronger Phys AOE to chip enemies so your sweepers can guarantee kills.
 +
 +
Damage Boosters:
 +
* Serial Killer: Boosts Kuyo Flash, Myriad Arrows, etc. damage.
 +
* Almighty Boost/Almighty Survivor: Directly boosts Kuyo Flash damage. Survivor adds an extra endure.
 +
 +
Other/Misc. Skills:
 +
* Enduring Soul +/Endure: Adds survivability.
