Pros
  • Has a sizable Bulwark on the first turn, making it fairly hard for T1 teams to kill him, especially when paired with revivers like Xi Wangmu or Maria.
  • Perfect for T2 teams, with Intimidating Stance, incredibly low Agility, and innate Epitome of Endurance.
  • His abilities scale off of max HP, allowing him to do huge amounts of damage based off his HP.
  • At the end of the opponent's first turn, he enters a state of Charge and Rebellion, meaning his next hit will hit like a truck, and he additionally chips at their Max hp
  • Both of his unique attacks go through endures, making it easier for him to sweep with Lionfall.
  • His panels are great, making him even harder to kill and giving him much needed accuracy. In particular damage reduction while under bulwark has good synergy with Demeter.
  • Red has both ST and AoE making it easier for him to avoid anti pierce.
Cons
  • 64 Agility is nice for going slow, but it means he's also completely blind. Needs a ton of accuracy and buff control to hit evasive targets, especially against teams running Guedhe.
  • Lionfall does not have MP reduction in levels, and this can be abused by MP drainers like Camael or Alice A.
  • High HP totals mean fractional damage skills are going to hit harder on him.
  • Has some AI issues when anti-pierce comes into play, which can lead to him wasting his Charge and Rebellion combo on an auto attack.
  • Innate Elec weakness means he'll have a bad time against Elec Bros (Zeus, Odin A and Botis.
  • Only gets his Charge and Rebellion effect once. After his big hit, his damage is effectively neutered making him hard to use against Demeter.
  • Bulwark Pierce completely shuts him down.

  • Red: Boar Rush for a strong ST Phys attack.
  • Yellow: Lunar Downfall for buff control.
  • Purple: Intimidating Stance for slow teams
  • Teal: Drain Phys to be paired wit Demiurge or Rama.

Skill Transfers

Damage Boosters to allow Lionfall and Boar Rush in red to deal as much damage as possible. HP boosters to not only make him tankier, it increases how much damage he can deal with Lionfall and Boar Rush in red as they both scale based off of 30% of his max HP. Accuracy boosters to make up for his bad AGI stat. Ailment Resistance/Immunities to not get stopped so easily, wasting his 1st turn Charge + Rebellion.

Damage Boosters:

  • Phys Amp: Highest Phys damage modifier.
  • Butcher: AOE damage modifier for Lionfall.
  • Death Blow/Wicked Strike: Crit damage modifier to take advantage of his free Rebellion + Charge.
  • Phys Slowda: Phys damage modifier + reduces team speed for slow teams and works well with his innate IS in purple.
  • Phys Survivor: Phys damage modifier + endure.
  • Epitome of Carnage: Phys damage modifier + crit rate modifier.
  • Phys Boost: Early game/budget option.
  • Serial Killer: Early game/budget option.

HP boosters:

  • Life Surge: Highest HP modifier.
  • Epitome of Fortitude: HP modifier + crit resistance modifier.
  • Life Gain: Early game/budget option.

Accuracy Boosters:

  • Great Aim: Highest accuracy modifier.
  • Epitome of Aggression: Accuracy modifier + ailment resistance modifier.
  • Epitome of Finesse: Accuracy modifier + crit rate modifier.

Ailment Resistance/Immunity:

  • Infernal Mask: Highest ailment resistance modifier.

  • Null Bind-Weak: Weak and Bind immunity. Useful to not get punished against Nergal ailment teams and bind stopping his Charge + Rebellion boosted attack on T1.
  • Null Bind: Bind immunity.
  • Null Charm: Charm immunity to not make him kill his own team with a Charge + Rebellion powered up Lionfall.
  • Null Mute: Mute immunity to allow him to use his Charge + Rebellion on Lionfall/Boar Rush instead of wasting it on a regular attack.
  • Hellish Mask: Early game/budget option.

  • Null/Resist Elec: Covers up his weakness.
  • Enduring Soul/+: Adds an endure if needed.

An anti-T1 demon. Bulwark is basically a damage shield that allows him to soak up high damage and thats without taking a hit to his HP. P2 especially makes him take less damage while bulwark is up making him even harder to take out especially with teammates like Maria and XWM. Accuracy boosters can be ran especially against Dodge tank Marias which are built mainly for Astaroths who have way higher AGI and innate accuracy boosters. Teal can be used with Demiurge or Rama but you do lose out on IS unless 2 other IS demons are also ran. Red can be useful against anti-pierce teams allowing Arioch to at least nuke something and not get stopped completely especially on Defense where AI will auto-attack when facing anti-pierce which red helps to fix that.
