Avatar is a race of demons in the Shin Megami Tensei series, belonging to the Beasts species and being either Light-Law or Light-Neutral. They are very powerful gods that have the form of beasts or animals. They are strong and fierce, and dedicated to rooting out and destroying evil. Unlike the Holy Beast race, Godly Beasts are usually the god's avatar in the bestial form rather than the subordinate animal associates with the god itself.
