Pros
  • Guardian of the East provides 1 extra Press Turn when going first, enabling devastating Turn 1 Kill strategies like Hero Masakado T1.
  • Kuyo Flash can be cast 1st turn and swings offensive buffs entirely in your favor by autocasting Tarukaja, Rakunda, Sukukaja and Sukunda.
  • Panel 2 provides team wide Null Mortal for one turn. This is useful for sweeping Ixtab defenses, or protecting your allies from being counterswept by Alice A if you fail to kill them Turn 1.
  • Incredible set of resistances with 3 Nulls (Phys, Dark, Light) and no weakness allows you to tailor his transfer slots however you please.
Cons
  • No good physical attacks to exploit his innate Phys Pierce. Only Phys attack available to him is Myriad Arrows in Red, which has random targeting and is thus not very reliable.
  • Easily countered by outspeeding. This is a problem for last hour PvP, as Masakado A defenses will get relentlessly targetted by players looking to climb last minute.
Notes
  • Unable to be paired with Masakado.
  • None of his Awaken skills are particularly useful for him. Enduring Soul is his "best" one but it won't be that useful considering that he's built for a fast team where the only thing that matters is high offensive power and high accuracy for Phys attackers. Myriad Arrows could be useful to take advantage of his innate Pierce, but as just said it isn't a good Phys spell.

Archetype(s)

  • Red: Discounted Myriad Arrows for a strong Phys skill to dish out some damage if necessary
  • Purple: Enduring Soul for survivability. Especially useful when facing against SurtA

Skill Transfers

Since Herokado is mainly used for the Extra Press Turn + Offensive buffs from Kuyo Flash, support skills to help the Herokado Turn 1 team build are more useful. But, attacks are still useful in a pinch.

Support Skills:

  • Speedster/Epitome of Swiftness: Boosts team speed. A must have in Herokado T1 as you want to be as fast as possible to activate Guardian of the East.
  • Auto-Taruka/Rakunda/Sukukaja/Sukunda: Helps to offset any enemy auto buffs/debuffs to ensure Kuyo Flash gives you all, if not, most of the offensive buffs and debuffs.
  • Solar Prosperity/Downfall: Similar to the Auto skills but its 2 in 1 (Team ATK + EV/AC buff in Prosperity, Enemy DEF + EV/AC debuff in Downfall). However they are much harder to obtain.

Attacks:

  • Herculean Strike L: Cheap Phys AOE great for cleaning up any remaining enemies with endures.
  • Vorpal Blade: A stronger Phys AOE to chip enemies so your sweepers can guarantee kills.

Damage Boosters:

  • Serial Killer: Boosts Kuyo Flash, Myriad Arrows, etc. damage.
  • Almighty Boost/Survivor: Directly boosts Kuyo Flash damage. Survivor adds an extra endure.

Other/Misc. Skills:

  • Enduring Soul+/Endure: Adds survivability.

Brands

  • Stat priorities: Speed%, Phys ATK%
  • Divine: Allows him to cast Kuyo Flash on turn 1 if not P3 (and if P3, it allows Kuyo Flash to be cast T1 if facing Ulice).
  • Speed: Boosts team speed.
  • War: Boosts damage if needed.
  • Lead: Helps him to be 1st or 2nd in rotation if using other demons that are just as fast if not faster.

Mitama

  1. STR (20): Boosts his damage output.
  2. VIT (10): Adds bulk.
  3. AGI (20): To boost his accuracy and team speed.

Any auto buff can replace EOS if you are behind on buff control. You'll want as much Speed% to be as fast as possible, Phys ATK% is secondary, but if you can get both in your brands, all the better.
