A deity from Chinese mythology who is said to be descended from Shennong, the emperor of fire and agriculture, as well as one of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors. In ancient China, he sought control of Huang Di's throne and fought against him alongside his brothers.
However, Huang Di would ultimately defeat, shackle and kill Chi You. Chinese historical records refer to Chi You as a god of war who invented five different weapons and wielded them in battle.
