A fairy queen from Celtic mythology whose name means "intoxication". Though originally spoken of as something similar to a succubus, it is said that she became better known as a queen due to often being identified with Titania. Queen Mab rules over Connacht, where she has many husbands. It is said that, in order to assign authority to people, she would give them mead mixed with her own blood.
