Lifeforms appearing in the Cthulu Mythos that, long ago, visited Earth from the reaches of outer space. They are also known as Elder Things. These beings are fundamentally different from Earth’s lifeforms, lacking sex or genders and reproducing through spores instead. Their civilization once spanned the entire planet, with sprawling cities built across its surface. However, their dominance waned due to wars with other species and a severe cold wave. It is believed that the majority of the survivors are now in a state of artificial hibernation.
