Part of a goddess trinity appearing in Irish mythology. Her name means “poisonous woman” and “queen of war’s frenzy.” On the battlefield, she drives soldiers to madness, causing them to inadvertently kill their allies. She and her husband, Nuadha, lost their lives in a battle against the demon king, Balor of the Evil Eye.
