UMA is a race of Neutral-Neutral demons of the Beasts species in the Shin Megami Tensei series. The English name is an abbreviation of Unidentified Mysterious Animal, another term for cryptids - creatures that have been reported to exist but of which there is little to no scientific evidence, including legendary creatures like Yetis or the Jersey Devil.
