Now revered as a war god, Guan Yu was a famed general during the period of the Three Kingdoms. He banded with his blood brothers Liu Bei and Zhang Fei to rise up against the yellow turban rebellion. Later on when he was captured after Liu Bei's defeat by Cao Cao,it is said that Guan Yu refused to join Cao Cao because of his loyalty to Liu Bei.
