Welcome! If you're here, that probably means you're looking for more information on how to get started, or you're keeping this bookmarked for its various resources. All of these are down below.

Basics

There is no 'order' that things must be done with, you can do things in whatever order you'd like. However, it's recommended to complete content on the training missions at the home page because it provides freebies such as Macca, Magnetite, and Gems.

Progression

The game can be divided into 3 parts:

  1. Early Game: Chapter 1~6 NORMAL, Chapter 1~3 HARD, Demon Buster [Stage 1~5], Aura Gate 1~30F
  2. Mid Game: Chapter 1~3 HELL, Chapter 4~6 HARD, Demon Buster [Stage 6~8], Aura Gate 31~40F
  3. Late Game: Chapter 4~6 HELL, Demon Buster [Stage 9~10], Aura Gate 41~50F, Hell's Park

To get towards late game, we need to make our demons stronger. Several things can be done to make our demons stronger, which are (in order of priority):

  • Leveling
  • Equipping Brands
  • Transferring Skills
  • Awakening
  • Evolving

Leveling

In terms of Exp/Stamina efficiency, Chapter 1 HELL Leveling Quest is the best and easiest to auto! However, Chapter 5~6 Leveling Quests are the best for 2★ fodder! During half-stamina, Chapter 1 NORMAL is even better than HELL!

The best place to level your demons is in each Chapter’s Leveling Quests. You can bring 2 parties at a time and they’ll get full experience.

The Liberator you should always bring is the Protagonist, as they have a passive skill to increase EXP.

You want to always bring a Kanbari demon in each party (2★ demon that is fused in multi-fusion), as they contain a skill to increase exp gain.

Steps to fuse a Kanbari:

  1. Collect 5 Slimes in Chapter 1’s Leveling Quest
  2. Collect 2 Melchoms and 1 Preta in Chapter 2’s Leveling Quest
  3. Collect 1 Nekomata and 1 Sandman in Chapter 3’s Leveling Quest
  4. Make Bicorn with Slime x Nekomata
  5. Make Inugami with Bicorn x Slime
  6. Make 2 Kurama Tengu with Slime x Melchom
  7. Make Yomotsu-Shikome with Preta x Kurama Tengu
  8. Make 1 Koppa Tengu with Slime x Sandman
  9. Make Kanbari

Brands

Brands are items that raise the stats of a demon and can be equipped in 5 slots: Head, Right Arm, Left Arm, Body, and Legs. They come in 1~6★ rarities and with higher rarity, they contain more stats and upgrade potential. When multiple of the same type are equipped, a set effect (all of which are rated below) such as +25% HP can be also applied to a demon. Duplicate sets don’t apply the effect multiple times on the same demon.

Brand stats matter more than the rarity, so make sure the stats are what you want before fully committing to upgrading it. You will quickly run out of Macca if you try to max upgrade every Brand.

Brands of Sin quests at Demon Buster is the easiest place to farm Brands, and they are available all of the time. The other option is Aura Gate past Floor 40+. Upgrading 3★ or higher Brands is called Advanced Enhancement.


Brand Set Effects:

  • Ward (★ ★ ★ ★ ★) - Auto Barrier (prevents status ailments) at start of every battle.
  • Divine (★ ★ ★ ★ ☆) - Increase MP regen by 1.
  • Sick (★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ~ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆) - Increase Ailment Infliction % by 20% (how valuable this is depends on the demon’s skills).
  • Spell (★ ★ ★ ★ ☆) - Increase Magical Attack by 15%.
  • Speed / War / Life / Guard / Shield (★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆) - Increase (Battle Speed +15%) / (Physical Attack +15%) / (HP +25%) / (Physical Defence +20%) / (Magical Defence +20%)

Liberators

You will have enough SP to max out every skill once a Liberator hits max level (level 30). Each Liberator has a quest chain unlocked by certain criteria that will then raise their level cap (to 50) unlocking further skills.

Rerolling

   Gacha Rates: 0.5% for a 5★, 5% for a 4★, and 94.5% for a 3★

Rerolling for a 5★ isn’t recommended as the 0.5% rate will burn you out. You should, however, try to reroll for a high tier 4★ or the gacha exclusive White Rider using the 4★ ticket.

Steps to Reroll

  1. Complete the tutorial until the summoning demonstration.
  2. Go to the mailbox and claim the the 4* ticket, gems and other tickets.
  3. Pray to RNGesus.
    • If you are unhappy with your pulls clear data (or if rooted on Android, delete com.sega.d2megaten.v2.playerprefs.xml inside data/com.sega.d2megaten/shared_prefs) and repeat.
  4. Either save your newly pulled 5* or 4* demon account via the facebook link / recovery code.

Note - Any 5★ is better than no 5★, and aside from the Fiend and Hero race, any 5★ is fusable with time.
