A dragon, also known as the World Serpent, that symbolizes eternity. In ancient Greek, its name holds the meaning, "the serpent that eats its own tail." In keeping with that name, it is often depicted as eating its own tail, forming a circle without end, which is said to be representative of "death and rebirth" as well as "immortality." Some of Ouroboros's aspects are shared with Oceanus from Greek mythology and Leviathan from the Old Testament.
