Lugh/Lore

The god of light from Celtic Mythology. Also called Lu or Lug, his name means "light" or "the radiant one." He is said to be skilled in all arts, and is known as Long Arm for wielding the Brionac spear in battle. Though said to have given birth to Cu Chulainn with Deichtine, daughter of Balor, Lugh's true wife is the earth goddess Bui. It is also said that Balor, despite being Lugh's greatest enemy, was his grandfather. Balor was defeated by Lugh at the Battle of Moytura, his wicked eye pierced.
