Official Profile

One of the names for God that appears within the Old Testament. While its original meaning is unclear, it is most commonly translated into English as God Almighty. In the Book of Genesis, Abraham, the father of the Israelites, is said to have sworn himself to Shaddai in exchange for his descendants being given the land of Canaan. Based on the Kabbalah school of though from Jewish mysticism, this name can also be interpreted as referring to Yesode, one of the ten sephirah.
