Official Profile
A flower god appearing in Greek mythology. Though originally a profoundly beautiful young man, a curse making him unable to love anyone but his own reflection in the water was inflicted on him as a punishment for spurning the nymph Echo. Narcissus, entranced by his own reflection in the water and unable to look away, eventually faded away and became the flower that now bears his name. Narcissus's legend also serves as the etymology of the word narcissism.
