Role Summary

Prometheus brings some defense against magic spells for slow teams on the first turn with his Makara Shift, and attempts to eliminate the greatest menace by casting his Agidyne. With his great magic attack and his Fire Boost, it hurts pretty well on enemies who don't NDR fire.

Pros	High MAG of 226. One of the strongest fire mages in the game, making him an excellent choice for fire Democalypse in Red. Low AGI, but low enough that it's good for slow teams. Makara Shift further benefits a slow team. Purple has Infinite Chakra, a skill that gives 4 MP per turn and pairs well with him.
Cons	He's frail and slow, which isn't the best combination especially in PvP. N/D/R Fire is a major hindrance to him in PvP. Ice weakness.
Notes	-

PvE Builds

Since you usually starts with full MP, you probably want Aragami (Red) 6MP Maragidyne or Psychic (Purple) Infinite Chakra. Protector (Yellow) Recarmdra, while handy, probably won't see much use due to Prometheus being a somewhat fragile demon, but getting Maragidyne from the Gacha is a solid skill. Elementalist (Blue) Drain Fire and will be good on a few scenarios, like making brand farming a bit more convenient, but won't be so good on Abyss gate.

The usual approach is to complement him with Resist Ice to cover his weakness, or Endure. Endure has the added versatility against other threats, but on floors 40+ of abyss gate people really wish you had covered his weakness.

On the other slot, Prometheus can get either an AOE damage skill or an Ice spell to use him as a counter to fire element enemies.
