Official Profile
A prophetic taoist god with the body of a human and the head of a cat. Originally known as Mao Shogun, he was a general around the 14th to 15th century. His tomb is said to be located in Annam, now known as Vietnam. Because his name was phonetically identical to the word "Cat" in his native tongue, he was reborn as the new god Neko Shogun. ("Neko" means "Cat" in Japanese.)
