The Vile demons, also known as Wicked Gods, are the major deities who are associated with disease, famine and other disasters brought upon mankind. They embody heterodoxy and are often vanquished or fallen gods that have become vilified by rival religions. They are a brutish race, focusing mainly on physical attacks, and are tied with the Tyrant for the most powerful dark race and easily on par with any demons of light. They are always Dark-Law, except for in Shin Megami Tensei V, where they are both Dark-Law and Dark-Chaos, and belong to the Guardians species.
