A nearly full-prosthetic cyborg with special enhancements. Not only is he a great fighter and marksman, he's also a talented hacker who has effectively become Motoko Kusanagi's right hand man in Section 9. He was formerly a Ranger serving under the JGSDF and it was there that he was outfitted with his "sleepless" cybernetic eyes. An imposing figure with an outgoing personality, he's also very amicable and is the Tachikomas' favourite member of Section 9.
