Role Summary

Name Best Archetype(s) PVE PVP
PVE PVP Offense Defense
Amaterasu.jpg Amaterasu
Yellow Clear Teal D F F -
Pros
  • Tenson Korin is a powerful buff that removes Debuffs then gives your team a 6 turn Luster Candy
  • Mediarahan in yellow costs only 8 MP, letting her cast it every other turn with Divine brands.
  • Panel 4 gives Tenson Korin a 1 turn Zenith, making her the only fusible source of Zenith.
Cons
  • Maragion is a waste in support builds
  • Her MP costs are absurdly high and completely outclassed by Barong
  • Has an Elec weakness unless Teal, making her even more of a liability in PvE, and ensures her death when facing Elec Bros (Zeus, Botis, Odin A).
  • Healing isn't particularly valuable in PvP, and her high costs make her nigh worthless there.
  • Her Zenith only lasts one turn, compared to the 6 turns of every other buff on the skill.
  • Absolute garbage panels.
Notes
  • How the mighty have fallen. If any launch player could imagine saying "Just make Barong, Amaterasu is useless" you'd be told you're crazy.

PvE Builds

Archetype(s)

  • Yellow: Mediarahan for a strong AOE heal.

Skill Transfers

Support and passive skills since she's mainly used for Tenson Korin and Mediarahan. Passives are also useful

Support Skills:

  • War Cry/Fog Breath/Acid Breath: 2 debuffs in 1. A must have for boss fights and kiwamis.
  • -kaja/-nda skills: Early game/budget option.

Passive Skills:

  • Null/Resist Elec: Covers her weakness.
  • Recovery Amp/Boost: Allows her to heal more with Mediarahan

Brands

  • Stat priorities: HP%, Mag ATK%, Healing%
  • Divine: Allows to cast Tenson Korin and Mediarahan more often
  • Ward: Protects her from ailments for 3 turns.
  • Speed: Boosts team speed if needed
  • Heal: Allows her to heal more with Mediarahan

Mitama

  1. MAG (20): To boost Healing
  2. VIT (20): Increases her bulk
  3. AGI (10): Increases team speed

Build(s)

The sun goddess' blessings
ArchYellow.png Transferred Skills Notes:

While not as efficient or effective as Barong, she requires less investment to have great immediate effect. Good demon to fuse if you need a buffer + healer while having limited Magnetite. Plus she removes debuffs before applying a 6 turn Luster Candy, great for bosses with Auto or Fast Debilitate.

Official Profile

The Japanese goddess of the sun and light. She is one of the chief deities of Takamagahara, the land of the Amatsu gods. Her most known tale is the time the world was shrouded in darkness when she withdrew into Amano-iwato, annoyed at her brother Susano-o's fit of rage. As does the Ise Shrine, many worship her as the goddess of nature.
