The Japanese god of divination and religious rituals, who appears in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki. He is said to be the divine ancestor of the Inbe clan, which served the Imperial Family. When Amaterasu was hiding Amano-Iwato and the world was covered in darkness, he performed the Futomani, a divination using the shoulder bones of a male deer from Mt. Amanokagu.
